1 Discovery Phase
Amicus ITS as part of its service provision to maintain and monitor the environment, provides the following remotely.
- Performance checks and basic reporting
- Performance measures with recommendations
- SQL health checks
- Basic SQL server tuning to deliver increased performance
- Identification of bottlenecks related to queries and sharing our findings with Application Vendor Developer Team(s), able to further look into refined tuning of the application queries.

2 Recommendations & Remediation
Once Amicus ITS has implemented the recommendations from the initial discovery phase, we will be providing a full managed service to give you the benefit and security of the above on a monthly service and which will include the following vital elements:
- Performance tuning of your indexes making changes to the SQL server settings (in line with best practice from Microsoft and the Application Developer); making changes to your platform (Operating System, server hardware, virtual environment, storage, networking) that the SQL Server is running on, to ensure maximum throughput.
- SQL updates
- Service Pack installation
- SQL upgrades (limited to the next version of SQL)
3 24x365 Proactive Monitoring & Management Support
The SQL service would be provided 24x365. We take a highly engaged approach to remote SQL monitoring and management. This is delivered through our proactive intelligent eyes in our 24x365 Network Operations Centre (NOC). Every step is underpinned by our assured governance and security policies and procedures through strict adherence to the rigorous standards of ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and IGSoC compliance.
4 Secure Backup, Disaster Recovery & Archive
When disaster strikes, the length of time for you to recover your data may mean the difference between your organisation surviving or being hit by fines, penalties and damaged reputation - as well as impact on patient care for the healthcare sector. A total of 5 days consisting of a mixture of onsite and offsite work, costing £2,500 (NB. Should you undertake the next phase of SQL data management, the discovery costs are refunded to you)

3. 24x365 Proactive Monitoring & Management Support
Costs based on a 3-year contract with option to purchase without discovery. NB the cost would be defined by your data structure.

Costs based on a 3-year contract with option to purchase without discovery. NB the cost would be defined by your data structure.
