The UK Government created the G-Cloud platform in 2012 in response to a firm commitment for government departments to go digital and transform the relationship between citizen and state. Amicus ITS joined the G-Cloud framework in 2015 and our cloud services have grown since then from four cloud services on G-Cloud 7 to twelve cloud services on G-Cloud 11.
The UK public sector landscape encompasses 36,000 organisations, from central Government, to local authorities, the NHS, schools, universities, blue light services and other public bodies. G-Cloud 11 enables UK public sector bodies to choose and purchase cloud computing services for platform, software and specialist cloud services in a commodity-based, ‘pay as you go’ transparent route.
